The Marvel Cinematic Universe is big and increasingly vast. 2020 Upper Deck Avengers Endgame and Captain Marvel trading cards put two of the biggest movies into one product. As with Upper Deck’s other Marvel movie sets, autographs are a major draw. However, there are other premium inserts and sketch cards that join them on the checklist.


Each nine-pack hobby box has either a signature, sketch card, shadow box insert, metal card, diamond card or printing plate. In short — one premium card or hit per box.


2020 Upper Deck Avengers: Endgame and Captain Marvel Overview


The base set clocks in at 90 cards. However this is split up into three levels of rarity. It centers on the final film in Iron Man’s, Captain America’s journey as part of the superhero team. I guess, one could put Thanos in that group as well.


Avengers Assemble and Avenge the Fallen are two of the product’s more common inserts. These combine to land approximately one per pack.


On the signature front, Legends Never Die Autographs feature actors. A list of signers hasn’t been released. In addition to regular versions, there are Inscriptions that come with short notes as well as signed one-of-one Printing Plates.


Among the Avengers-themed premium inserts are Shadow Box and One Shot Metal cards. Checklists for both of these include short prints as well as autographs.


Exquisite Collection Diamond Relics spotlight characters with cards manufactured diamonds embedded into the cards. Similar to the base set, there are three tiers when it comes to rarity. The Exquisite line, which represents Upper Deck’s highest of high-end brands, has been used sparingly with the Marvel license.


Randomly inserted Rewind Buybacks go back to earlier Upper Deck MCU sets. These are cards from the original sets that have a special stamp. Only one copy of each card has been given the Rewind treatment.


Captain Marvel


Although not quite as extensive overall in the product, Captain Marvel stands on its own as a set within a set. Each pack has one card from the film, including base cards and inserts.


The main set, as well as the Not What It Seems, Supreme Intelligence, and Higher, Faster, Stronger portions of the checklist have tough Silver Spectrum and Gold Spectrum parallels.


Additional autographs take on a Binary theme.
