The Chicago Bulls selected Michael Jeffrey Jordan with the third pick in the 1984 NBA Draft. 

Their selection would forever change the landscape of the Chicago Bulls and the NBA. In just his first NBA season, Jordan would average 28.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 5.9 assists, while shooting an astonishing 51.5% from the field. 

He capped his memorable first season with an NBA All Star game appearance, an All NBA Rookie First Team selection, the 1985 Rookie of the Year Award, and an All NBA Second Team honor.
