2020 Panini Plates & Patches Football might only have five cards per box, but there’s quite a bit of variety within them — especially when it comes to premium content.


Of course, there are printing plates. One of the one-of-ones is in every box. Autographs and memorabilia cards are also in every box.


2020 Panini Plates & Patches Football Checklist Overview


There’s a couple of things happening with the 100-card base set. For starters, the layout stresses action photographs. It has been a connecting thread in the brand for several years.


Then there’s the rarity. Base cards are numbered to 99.







Parallels, which combine to fall one per box, come in six levels:


  • Orange – /75
  • Blue – /60
  • Purple – /35
  • Green – /25
  • Red – /10
  • Gold – 1/1



Rookie Patch Autographs (/99) opt for sizeable swatches. These have Blue (/50), Purple (/25), Green (/10) and Gold (1/1) versions as well.






Rookie Reflections (/99 or less) combine an autograph with a pair of memorabilia pieces. Parallels for these include Blue (/50 or less), Purple (/35 or less), Green (/15 or less) and Gold (1/1).








There might not be any memorabilia on Rookie Upper Echelon cards, but they do come with on-card signatures. Besides base versions, which have 99 copies or less, there are Orange (/75 or less), Blue (/50 or less), Purple (/30 or less), Green (/20 or less), Red (/10 or less) and Gold (1/1) parallels.






2020 Plates & Patches has other on-card autographs as well featuring veterans and past stars. These include Leaps & Bounds, Marquee Marks and Highly Revered, which is new to the brand this year. For all three of these, base versions have no more than 99 copies and are joined by a handful of parallels that are similar in colors and numbers to other parts of the product.







On the memorabilia side of the checklist, Full Coverage and Double Coverage both emphasize jumbo swatches. Patch Trios and Supreme Swatches have multiple memorabilia pieces.
